I am so excited to share my rawsome salad dressing recipe with all of you health enthusiasts out there. This literally takes 5 minutes to create, and you can substitute any of the ingredients I use in this recipe with your favorite ones or with whatever you’re craving that day.
If you don’t have a Vitamix or a regular blender you can just take a mason jar, place all of the ingredients inside and shake it until you obtain your desired consistency. You can substitute the Coconut Oil with any of your favorite oils i.e. Olive Oil, Hemp Oil, or Avocado Oil. Just make sure it is raw, preferably organic, and locally sourced when possible.
If you opt to include Nutritional Yeast make sure it is a good quality source and organic. I love QNL (Quantum Nutrition Labs) because it is the highest quality available out there.You can buy it online at www.qnlabs.com
When using Apple Cider Vinegar make sure it is raw and unfiltered in order for you to benefit from all its nutritional benefits. You can read more about all the nutrition and goodness Raw Apple Cider Vinegar delivers here.
And of course when using Soy Sauce make sure it is Non GMO. My favourite brand is Braggs Liquid Aminos, and a little bit goes a long way.
One of my favorite ingredients to use in all of my culinary creations is raw turmeric, which is an Ayurvedic herb packed with nutritional goodness. It also gives dressings and other recipes a beautiful yellowish color which enhances your craving for your creation because we first eat with our eyes and we’ll be more inclined to eat when we have a variety of colors in front of us. I just love to peel raw turmeric, chop it and get all my fingers stained yellow, like a natural tattoo :)
Cayenne Pepper is another of my favorite ingredients because it is like a wake up call to all your system and it helps drive all the nutrients of the ingested foods into the blood stream. Be ware though, just a dash can actually make a very spicy recipe so go easy on it and make sure to read about all its nutritional benefits here.
